What students do in class
PSD II turns speaking foundations into practical debate skills. Students examine an issue from more than one perspective, build arguments as a team and learn how to answer the central claims in an opposing case. Practice rounds develop concentration, listening and the ability to think under pressure.
What they’ll learn
- Build a case with clear priorities
- Compare competing arguments
- Deliver focused rebuttal
- Work effectively with teammates
- Complete age-appropriate debate rounds
How students progress
Students become more independent debaters who can build a case with teammates, listen closely and respond during a full round.
Who this program suits
