Primary · Grades 1–6Build strong arguments on more complex topics
PSD I for Grades 5–6 establishes the reasoning and communication skills older primary students need before taking on competitive debate. Students explore current issues, distinguish an assertion from a supported argument and learn to organise a speech that is easy to follow.
Students learn to build and deliver a complete argument. Once the core skills are consistent, they can progress to Grades 5–6 PSD II.
Students in Grades 5–6 who are new to formal debate or who need to consolidate their foundations at the older primary level.

Students practise case-building, rebuttal and strategy through age-appropriate World Schools and British Parliamentary debate.
