Many young children know what they want to say but are unsure how to say it in front of others. Junior Speakers uses stories, games, show-and-tell and guided discussion to help them organise ideas, speak clearly and respond respectfully. The activities feel familiar and enjoyable while building communication skills children can use at school and in everyday conversations.
Students become more willing to contribute in class, explain what they think and speak in front of a group.
Children in Grades 1–3 who are new to structured speaking or would benefit from a playful, supportive introduction.
Grades 3–4
Learn to make and support a clear point
Students explore issues that matter to them, form their own views and learn how to open a speech, support a point and respond thoughtfully to another speaker.
