Capstone debaters were crowned champions in two divisions at the Asia Schools Open 2026, with Bella L. (CIS) and Cynthia Y. (MS) taking the Under-15 title and Rose Oi Yi W. (GSIS) alongside Sylvana C. (GSIS) claiming the Under-13 crown.
Beyond the two titles, capstone debaters performed well in elimination rounds across every age group. Eleven Z. (CIS) reached the Under-15 final, with Ishan H. (KS) finishing as Under-13 Finalist; the Under-15 semifinalists were Emma L. (STC), Venus S. (STC), Jacky X. (GSIS) and Nora C. (CIS), joined by Under-14 semifinalist Alexandre M. (ISF). Under-14 quarterfinalists Seth L. (HKIS) and Spencer L. (HKIS) closed out the tab.
Capstone debaters also performed really well in speaker tabs with Cynthia Y. (MS) topping the Australia and Oceania tabs, while Nora C. (CIS) placed 8th Overall, 4th in Hong Kong and 8th in Northeast Asia. Bella L. (CIS) earned 6th in Hong Kong, with Emma L. (STC) 7th and Venus S. (STC) 10th in the same regional ranking. Among the age divisions, Eleven Z. (CIS) led the Under-12 speakers; Ishan H. (KS) placed 6th and Sylvana C. (GSIS) 9th in Under-13; Jacky X. (GSIS) finished 7th in Under-14; and in Under-15, Nora C. (CIS) took 5th, with Bella L. (CIS) and Cynthia Y. (MS) tied at 7th and Emma L. (STC) 9th.
