We are thrilled to announce the remarkable achievements of our debaters at the Capstone Junior Summer Classic 2024, held on September 8th. This year’s competition marked a significant milestone as it was our first in-person event since the pandemic. The day was filled with a fantastic blend of learning, teamwork, and spirited debate, highlighted by engaging workshops and a lively social mixer. Our talented and enthusiastic participants truly made this event an unforgettable experience.

Recognising Exceptional Speakers
We are incredibly proud of our debaters for their exceptional skills throughout the competition. Huge congratulations to Ishan H. (Kellett School) for being named the Overall Best Speaker in the Grade 5-6 category. We also celebrate the 2nd Best Speakers in this category, who are Spencer L. (Hong Kong International School) and Leo F. (Stamford American School). In addition, Brendan L. (International Christian School) and Seth L. (Hong Kong International School) both earned recognition as joint 4th Best Speakers.
In the Grade 3-4 category, Amanda C. (Diocesan Girls’ School) took home the title of Overall Best Speaker. Congratulations also go to Hannah C. (St. Paul’s Co-educational College) for securing 2nd Best Speaker, Connor S. (Singapore International School) for 3rd Best Speaker, Gloria N. (HK University Graduates Association School) for 4th Best Speaker, and Hailey W. (Harrow International School) for 5th Best Speaker.
Furthermore, we would like to recognize Brendan L. (International Christian School) as the Best Novice Speaker, Marcus L. (Diocesan Boys’ School) as the Most Engaging Speaker, and Jasper N. (Chinese International School) as the Most Promising Speaker.
