Our debaters delivered an outstanding showing at the Transpacific World Schools Debating Championship, held from October 24-26, bringing home top honours and numerous accolades.

We are proud to announce that our Open team claimed the championship title! Congratulations to Jeffrey S. (WIS), Gemma Y. (KGV), and Samuel K. (CIS) for their exceptional teamwork and debating excellence throughout the tournament.

Outstanding performances also came from Aiden T. (CIS), Emi R. (CIS), and Yeonseo K. (GSIS), who advanced to the quarterfinal rounds and represented their schools with distinction.

Our debaters also earned an impressive array of individual speaking honours across multiple categories!

In the ESL division, Jodie L. (IS) earned 5th Best Speaker, while Audrey L. (HKIS) achieved 10th Best Speaker.

Overall speaker rankings saw Jeffrey S. (WIS) place 5th Best, Yeonseo K. (GSIS) secure 9th Best, and Samuel K. (CIS) earn 12th Best. Emi R. (CIS) distinguished herself as the U-14 3rd Best Speaker.

The U-16 category also featured particularly strong performances, with Yeonseo K. (GSIS) earning 4th Best Speaker, Samuel K. (CIS) placing 5th Best, Emi R. (CIS) achieving 10th Best, and Jodie L. (IS) securing 15th Best Speaker.

These remarkable achievements demonstrate the depth of talent, dedication, and hard work of our debating community.
