Our debaters delivered outstanding results at the Shanghai International Debate Open 2026, held from March 20-22, 2026, across multiple divisions. Tony S. (CIS) and Adam P. (CIS) were crowned Over‑16 Champions, while Isabella Z. (BMA) claimed the title of Under‑16 Champion.
Strong elimination performances followed from our Over‑16 Semifinalists: Pacey Q. (TLS), Emi R. (CIS), Gwyneth C. (DGS), Clarisse P. (SPCC), Ryan Q. (HKIS), and Kelly A. (SPCC). Further deep runs came from our Under‑16 Quarterfinalists Renee Y. (ICS), Angela Q. (GSIS), and Miya L. (CIS), Open Quarterfinalists Jeffrey S. (WIS) and Samuel K. (CIS), and Under‑14 Semifinalist Jasper N. (CIS).
Speaker awards highlighted an exceptional weekend: Adam P. (CIS) was named Over‑16 Finals’ Best Speaker. Samuel K. (CIS) placed 3rd, Jeffrey S. (WIS) 5th, Tony S. (CIS) 6th, Aiden T. (CIS) 9th, Kai Kai W. (ASJ) 11th, Moses L. (CIS) 12th, Kelly A. (SPCC) 13th, and Ryan Q. (HKIS) 14th Best Speaker. In the Under‑16 division, Emi R. (CIS) earned 2nd Best Speaker, Isabella Z. (BMA) 4th, and Gemma Y. (KGV) 6th Best. Under‑14 awards went to Renee Y. (ICS) (7th) and Jasper N. (CIS) (8th Best).
