Capstone students had a great weekend where they were the top of speaker tabs and also claimed the championship at Indo Pacific School BP 2026, held from 1 -2 August. Hanna Z. (HKIS) was crowned champion after a weekend of closely contested rounds.
Hanson K. (DBS) and Ryan Q. (HKIS) reached the finals, while Jacky X. (GSIS), Nora C. (CIS), Ka Yin L. (HFC), and Renee Y. (ICS) cleared the quarterfinals to claim semifinalist spots.
The speaker tab was a sweep for our debaters. Ryan Q. (HKIS) was named Overall Best Speaker, with Hanson K. (DBS) 2nd, Hanna Z. (HKIS) 3rd, Nora C. (CIS) 4th, and Jacky X. (GSIS) 9th.
In Novice category, Sean Z. (HKIS) was the 2nd best speaker and Charlize W. (HKIS) was the 3rd best.
In the Under-14 division, Jacky X. (GSIS) placed 3rd, Sean Z. (HKIS) 5th, and Charlize W. (HKIS) 7th.
Under-16 results mirrored the open rankings: Ryan Q. (HKIS) 1st, Hanson K. (DBS) 2nd, Hanna Z. (HKIS) 3rd, Nora C. (CIS) 4th, with Ka Yin L. (HFC) and Renee Y. (ICS) tied at 8th.
