On January 29th, our centre came alive with excitement as Capstone Debate hosted its first-ever Community Game Night, attended by over thirty enthusiastic students. This game night featured a classic board game; Monopoly!
The evening kicked off with students divided into teams, each strategising their way to victory on the Monopoly board. But this wasn’t just any ordinary game night—this was a gamified learning experience. Students applied their knowledge of economics, negotiation, and resource management to make calculated decisions, trade properties, and navigate the ups and downs of the market. The competitive spirit was palpable as teams vied for dominance, making every move a lesson in critical thinking and teamwork.
What made this event truly special was how it brought the community together. Students not only sharpened their strategic skills but also bonded over shared laughter and friendly rivalry. The game night was more than just fun—it was a hands-on way to reinforce classroom concepts in a dynamic, engaging environment.
The success of this event has set the stage for what’s to come. Capstone Debate is committed to creating more events that foster learning, build community, and inspire creativity. If you missed this one, don’t worry! There’s plenty more in store, and we can’t wait to see how our community continues to grow and thrive.
Here’s to many more nights of learning, laughter, and connection! Stay tuned for what’s next because you won’t want to miss it.
